We're feeling grateful for the connection and community building we experienced at the first ever Cochinella at Confluence Park on April 24th. It was beautiful to see our people learning about the native plants of our region through the exhibits at the park and exploring the magic of seeds at the SanArte booth. We had some heart touching encounters with people who brought seeds to exchange and heard some fascinating stories about the journeys those seeds made to be in our presence at Cochinella.
In the evening as dark approached and the dancers and musicians appeard from the shadows, we could sense the joy the seeds must feel for being honored with story and dance as in the old days. The event was more than just a good time; it was an important step in the process of re-memebering our ancestral ways. Shout out to SARA for inviting us to participate, we look forward to the next one.
